Meet The Makers

Meet The Maker: Dan Earnest

Without Dan, there would be no Whiskey Leatherworks. Dan is both the Founder and Chief Maker at Whiskey. Our company was born out of his deep commitment to the art of craftsmanship and the perservence of the American spirit. Every piece that passes through our doors has been influenced by his hands and his guidance. Dan is a patient and kind teacher, imparting his wisdom to our team of makers. Dan is the first one to the shop in the morning and the last one to leave at the end of the day. He works tirelessly for his family, clients, and his employees.

On the rare occasions that Dan is not in the shop, he's most likely lurking on a shoreline, estuary, or river with his fly rod though he may not always share exactly where.

Meet the Maker: Jack Daley

Jack Daley came on board at Whiskey Leatherworks after graduating from St. Lawrence University with a degree in Economics. During the height of the COVID shutdown in June of 2020, Jack hopped in the car and drove thousands of miles across the country, from Connecticut to Montana, in response to our desperate need for help in our production. Since that day he has become an essential part of our team. Jack joined our family of Whiskey Leatherworks owners in 2021.

On any given day you can find Jack at the store prototyping a new product, forging ahead in marketing, running spreadsheets, distilling data, or contributing his mad leatherworking skills to your orders. If you can't find him, he is probably on the links, on the slopes, or a plane heading out to his next adventure.

Meet the Maker: Tad Daley

In the summer of 2023, Tad Daley exploded onto the Whiskey Leatherworks scene in a firey ball of creativity and passion. Tad has taken to leatherworking with ease and outstanding natural ability. Within weeks of joining the team, Tad launched quickly into designing his own pieces, without instruction or guidance, and somehow crushed it. When asked if he has an interest in learning something new, Tad responds not with a "yes", but by leaping in and perfecting it. In addition to product design and leatherworking, Tad has become invaluable with the camera. Next up? Videography. Then? Global domination (of course).

When not in the shop, Tad may be found on a trail, on the green, or honing his sick jujitsu skills.
