Leather and wood, two elements that please the senses. We brought them both together with our Bauhaus Limited Reserve Bag.
Designed by woodworker Martin McCain and leatherworker Daniel Earnest, over eight hours of skilled craftsmanship go into each timeless artisan piece. The bag was inspired by Walter Gropius’s Staatliches Bauhaus school of the arts. The German term “Bauhaus” literally translates to “building house”. Before the onset of the war, it had morphed into its own movement. We feel this term perfectly embodies the genesis of this collaborative piece.
The solid wood sides and handles are hand-crafted from U.S. Forest Service approved wood and are sealed with a Rubio Monocoat Zero VOC finish. The body is constructed of American tannery leather. They are bound together with button-head, stainless steel bolts and chromoly steel D-rings. This bag is constructed to last a lifetime.
The Bauhaus Bag comes in two color combinations:
Coffee Color Leather & White Ash Wood with Smoke Finish
Camel Color Leather & Black Walnut Wood with Clear Finish
